Joining Eduroam (Wi-Fi)

Overview

Williams primary wireless network for Faculty , Staff and Students is eduroam.

Requirements

This network is for computers, smart phones and tablets. If you have a another device like a gaming system or smart TV please go use these directions: https://oit.williams.edu/help-guides/wifi-and-wired-connections/network-device-registration/

Instructions

The recommended way to connect is via eduroam's configuration tool. First connect to the Williams Wi-Fi portal (Williams -College) and choose the eduroam option.  Then open a browser (i.e. Chrome, Firefox, Safari) and navigate to the website https://cat.eduroam.org/. On the site choose Williams from the list of colleges then run the tool once it downloads. You should use your Williams email address and password to set up the connection. All data jacks (ethernet wall plate ports) are off by default. In order to access our network via a wired (ethernet) connection using a 'data jack' (wall plate port) in your lab or office you will need to request it be activated.
