Boodlebox (Overview for Faculty)

Overview

Boodlebox.ai is an AI platform that provides access to a variety of different artificial intelligence models within a single, user-friendly chatbot interface. This tool allows users to seamlessly switch between different AI models to compare outputs, generate text, and explore the capabilities of generative AI.

Williams is currently experimenting with Boodlebox and has a limited number of licenses available for faculty piloting the tool in their courses.

Eligibility & Requesting a License

All Williams faculty are eligible to request a Boodlebox license, subject to availability.

Because licenses are limited, priority will be given to faculty who plan to use Boodlebox directly within their teaching pedagogy (e.g., having students compare model outputs, using chatbots for roleplay, or exploring AI literacy). Please note that all faculty who receive a license are required to provide feedback at the end of the semester on their experience.

To request a license, please complete the Boodlebox License Request Form. An Academic Technology Consultant will follow up with you regarding your request.

Is Boodlebox Right for My Class?

Boodlebox is an excellent choice if you want to explore the pedagogical applications of AI chatbots. It may be a great fit if you want to:

  • Incorporate AI literacy into your syllabus.
  • Allow students to interact with different AI models in a controlled, chat-based format.
  • Explore how different models respond to the same prompts.

When should I use a different tool? If you or your students require advanced AI features beyond chatbots, Boodlebox may not be the best fit. OIT may be able to provide access to other tools specifically designed for coding and advanced technical workflows. Please reach out to your Academic Technology Consultant to discuss these alternatives.
