Overview
You may get a fraudulent calendar invitation from an unknown source that contains information to fake invoices, usually tied to cryptocurrency or services like PayPal. The intent of the invitation is to get you to click on a malicious link or call a phone number. Here is an example of what one of these invites may look like:

If you receive one of these invites, be aware that it doesn't mean your account has been compromised. You can use the trash icon located in the top right of the invite to delete it, or you can report the invite as spam by clicking on the three dots and selecting Report as Spam:

To avoid receiving these updates in the future, please follow these directions to change your Google Calendar Settings:
- Click on the gear icon located in the top right of your Google Calendar window, then click Settings.
- Locate Event Settings on the left hand menu bar, or scroll down to find it.
- Under the drop down labeled Add invitations to my calendar, change From everyone to either Only if the sender is known or When I respond to the invitation in email.
